Terms of use
Who publishes Poudra, what the service does and does not do, the trial, the subscription and the end of access, and what we do not promise.

Working version. This text faithfully describes what Poudra does today, but it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and the rules differ from province to province. Write to us if a sentence looks wrong or incomplete: that is how it gets fixed.
01The publisher
Poudra is published by M2atech Solutions Inc., a company incorporated in New Brunswick and based in Moncton. “Poudra” is the name of the product; M2atech Solutions Inc. is the legal entity you contract with, and it answers for what is written here. Requests of any kind go to support@poudra.ca.
02What the service does
Poudra is for organizing property maintenance operations — snow removal in winter, mowing and grounds care the rest of the year. Concretely: customers and their properties, routes and their stops, operations triggered by hand or proposed from the weather, checking in visits from a phone with photos and location, proof files, quotes and contracts signed online, invoices with your province’s sales tax, payments, notices to customers by text or email, and reports.
03What the service does NOT do
We would rather say it plainly than let you find out. Poudra does not do turn-by-turn navigation: it gives the order of the stops, not the route to drive on the street. It is not accounting software: it produces reports for your accountant, it does not keep your books. It does not handle equipment sales, nor a pesticide application register, nor payroll. If your trade needs one of those, you will need another tool alongside.
04The trial and the subscription
The trial lasts 14 days and it starts when you register a card, not when you create the account: in between, the account exists but opens nothing. Nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel before it ends without paying anything. After the trial, the subscription renews month to month. The price follows the number of ACTIVE vehicles in your fleet, not the number of people: invite whoever you need. The card is entered and held by our payment collection provider, never by us.
05Sales tax
Prices are shown before tax. Your province’s sales tax is added to the charge, derived from the postal code on your profile: HST in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador; GST and QST in Quebec. The “Subscription” page itemizes the price, each tax and the month’s total, and the receipt for every charge lists them line by line.
06The end of access
If a charge fails, we follow up, then we suspend access. A closed access is closed plainly: the application returns an explicit error saying where to settle the situation, and we never silently drop you onto a reduced version of the product. Two things stay open even with access closed, because that is when they are needed: the page where you settle your subscription, and the export of your data. Your data is not erased on suspension; see the “Delete my account” page for what happens next.
07Your obligations
You answer for what you put into Poudra and what you send from it. In particular: you send notices, invoices or contracts by text or email only to people who have consented, and you keep that consent up to date — Canada’s anti-spam law requires it of you, and Poudra refuses to send to a contact with no recorded consent. You inform your employees that the app records their location during their shift, and you respect a refusal. You keep your passwords to yourself, and you tell us about any access you did not intend.
08Electronic signature
When your customer accepts a contract or a quote online, they do so by typing their name and ticking a box: that is a SIMPLE electronic signature. It is not a notarized signature nor a qualified digital signature, and the document says so itself. What Poudra keeps with it: the name typed, the date and time in your company’s time zone, the signer’s internet address where it could be recorded, and a fingerprint of the terms they had on screen — so that a later change to those terms shows. The weight of that evidence before a court does not depend on us.
09Proof files and reports are tools
A proof file, a sales tax report, a profitability report are decision aids produced from what was entered. They are not legal advice, accounting advice or an expert opinion. Have a sales tax report validated by your accountant before filing: it is written on the report itself, and it is not a turn of phrase.
10Availability and liability
We promise no uptime percentage, because nothing measures it today and an unmeasured figure is a polite lie. We work to keep Poudra available, we back it up, and we tell you when something is wrong. The service is provided as is. We are not liable for the indirect consequences of an outage — a storm poorly covered, a customer lost, a contract missed — nor for a loss caused by information you entered wrongly. Nothing here excludes a liability that applicable law forbids excluding, in particular under consumer protection law.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Canadian province where your business is established, and the courts of that province have jurisdiction. We chose your province rather than ours because a clause sending you to litigate in Moncton would, in Quebec especially, be hard to enforce — and we prefer a clause that holds to one that impresses.
12Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page changes, account owners are told by email, and earlier versions can be requested at support@poudra.ca. If a change does not suit you, you can cancel; it does not apply to invoices already issued.
